Why do white people listen to rap music?
I'm not saying only certain people should listen to certain music, but more questioning why white people (particularly males) are the biggest consumers of rap music.
I suspect it's because rap music promotes stereotypes that (some, not all!) white people deem as true. These stereotypes include blacks being impoverished, hypersexualized, uneducated, violent, materialistic, etc.
Being that the entertainment industry is run by rich white males who have little or no personal contact with women and minorities, do you believe they endorse the idea of stereotypical blacks towards the same kind of people who agree with their ideas?
Why or why not?

God knows. I can only think that they believe that by listening to it they're somehow 'cool', as if they're buying into the whole 'gangsta' concept without the trouble of having to deal with black people.

This is mainly for mainstream, but if you have an underground rap song, give me that one as well. This song would have represent Rap/Hip Hop to its fullest, from lyrics and delivery tp hooks and instrumentals/beats.
